DOLPHLINS FALL TO PACE 77-62 IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE.
Pleasanteville, NY - The Le Moyne College women's basketball team closed out their regular season falling to Pace University 77-62 at the Goldstein Center on Saturday. The Dolphins finish 14-12, 11-11 in the Northeast-10 Conference and will prepare for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship that will begin with a home game on March 2nd.
The Pace Setters (10-16, 9-12) connected on five first half 3-pointers and caused 13 Dolphin turnovers to claim a 33-27 lead into the intermission. The Dolphins would respond in the second half as Le Moyne took a one point lead after a 12-3 run to open the half. That would be the only time the Dolphins would lead as Pace pushed the lead back to double-digits after a 21-8 run over a seven-minute span.
The Dolphins were led by sophomore Courtney Coryea's 18 points and eight rebounds. Junior guard Kathleen Gladstone joined Coryea in double-figures with 11 points.
Stephanie Klingele led Pace with 28 points on 10 of 14 from the floor and 6 of 9 from beyond the arc. Stephanie Rossmy and Taylor Losey added 11 and 14 points respectively.
Le Moyne will now prepare for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament that is set to begin on March 2nd. The Dolphins clinched a home game to open the tournament via their eight place finish in the regular season standing. A final bracket will be announced by the conference later next week upon the conclusion of the conference schedule.
