JEANNE MURPHY NAMED 2009 WBCA SUPERLATIVE AWARD
WINNER!
Le Moyne College women's basketball head coach Jeanne Murphy was
announced as a 2009 WBCA Superlative winner. Announced
for Division I and II, Murphy was named the Most Intense on the
Court but Laidback off the Court. Winners were choosen through an
online poll by fans and WBCA members.
"Congratulations to the 2009 WBCA Superlative winners," said WBCA
CEO Beth Bass. "This program continues to gain popularity each year
and we are excited to see participation coast-to-coast from our
members and fans of women's basketball. We look forward to seeing
even more participation in the coming years."

Nominations for the WBCA Superlatives were submitted through an
online survey form. The top vote-getters for each superlative were
then voted on through a balloting process, with the top vote-getter
for each category being named the winner.
Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying
coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport
and to foster and promote the development of the game as a sport
