WSOC: DOLPHINS FALL TO ASSUMPTION, 3-0, IN NE-10 ACTION

Worcester, Mass. - Assumption College scored three goals in the second half of play resulting in a 3-0 victory over the Le Moyne College women's soccer team in Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday.

The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a goal from senior Kelley DeWalt off a penalty kick in the 68^th minute. Assumption then added to its lead less than ten minutes later with a second goal from sophomore Kirsten Chirichetti. Chirichetti's goal, her first of the season, was assisted by freshman Molly Kessler. The third and final goal came less than three minutes later off a shot from freshman Erin Kinback. Kinback's goal was also her first of the season, and credited with the assist was sophomore Cat Pangiarella.

Assumption outshot the Dolphins 13-8 in the contest, including an 8-6 advantage in the second half. Sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Stevens (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) posted four saves, while Lauren Keating made three saves for the Greyhounds.

Le Moyne (6-3-2, NE-10 3-3-2), which falls into eighth place behind Assumption in the conference standings, returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 against St. Michael's at 12:00 p.m.
