WALRATH REMAINS UNBEATEN, BUT WOMEN'S TENNIS DROPS TO 0-4
Syracuse, N.Y. - Freshman Tirzah Walrath continues her hot streak as she won 24 consecutive games over the weekend as the number one singles player. However, Walrath split her doubles matches with fellow rookie Mirielle Artessa against Saint Michael's and Southern New Hampshire ending the pleasant start the duo had begun.
The Dolphins dropped to 0-4 on the season with losses to Saint Michael's on Saturday (6-3) and to Southern New Hampshire on Sunday (5-4). Nicole Beaubriand had an impressive showing in her third singles match as she was able to grind out a victory, 4-6, 6-3, and 6-2 against the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire.
Things seem to be looking up as the Dolphins lost by the smallest margin this year with their tough loss at the hands of Southern New Hampshire. Le Moyne continues on their quest to improve upon their quarterfinals appearance of last year with a trip to Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania for the ITA Regionals this Saturday, September 23rd.
