MANCHESTER, N.H. - Sophomore first baseman Emma Murphy (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) belted two home runs in the opener, Sarah Reed (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) recorded her fifth shutout of the season in the second game and Jennifer Farrelly (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) was perfect at the plate as Le Moyne softball rebounded for a doubleheader sweep at Saint Anselm 15-6, 8-0. The Dolphins improve to 17-11 overall and 9-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Freshman Caitlin O'Neill (Pittsford, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) ignited Le Moyne's home run barrage in the opening game with a two-run shot to left in the top of the second inning. Farrelly, who went 3-for-3 with five RBI out of the No. 8 slot in the lineup, connected for a solo home run to give Le Moyne a 3-0 lead in the second.

After Saint Anselm plated five runs in the bottom of the second, Murphy tied the contest at five with a two-run home run. Reed gave Le Moyne the eventual winning run with a solo home run in the fifth and Murphy connected for a two-run shot in the seventh.

In all, five of Le Moyne's 15 hits were home runs. Murphy leads Le Moyne with six home runs this season.

Reed struck out two and scattered seven hits for her eighth victory of the season - five of which have been shutouts. Sophomore catcher Kortney Meadows (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) went 3-for-4 with three runs batted in.

Farrelly completed a perfect afternoon at the plate with a 2-for-2 effort. She was 5-for-5 with three runs scored and six RBI in the doubleheader sweep.
