ROSETTE SCORES FOUR, SETS UP ONE AS WOMEN'S LACROSSE PICKS UP FIRST WIN OF SEASON 13-8 AT UC DAVIS

DAVIS, Calif. -- Junior Kylie Rosette (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) scored four goals with three assists - including three straight score in her team's 8-0 opening run - to lead Le Moyne to a 13-8 victory over UC Davis in non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse action at Aggie Field Tuesday. Senior Amanda Keegan (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) added three goals for the Dolphins (1-1).

Rosette scored three straight goals in a span of five minutes then assisted on the next three goals during the Dolphins' 8-0 opening run. Aggie junior Katie McGovern finally stopped the onslaught with an unassisted goal with 2:12 left in the first half, then Leah Mazella (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) tacked on one more to give Le Moyne a 9-1 halftime edge.

UC Davis cut into the lead in the second half. Lapolla won the opening draw after the break, then O'Connor hit a goal just 1:44 into the period to start the Aggies. Clark hit an eight-meter goal at the 41:29 mark, then Lapolla scored on back-to-back possessions in the 47th and 48th minutes to cut the deficit to 10-5.

However, Keegan scored two goals in a 3-0 stretch to push the Dolphins back up by eight with five minutes remaining. O'Connor and Clark combined for three goals down the final stretch to bring the score to its final tally of 13-8.

Dolphin goalkeeper Samantha Falcone (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee), the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week, posted 12 saves against five goals in her 55 minutes of action. Her counterpart, Aggie junior Hilary Harkins, had six saves against 24 shots.

Sophomore attacker Patrice Clark had three goals and her team's only assist to lead UC Davis offensively. Senior Megan O'Connor and freshman Molly Lapolla each scored two goals. O'Connor also led her squad with four ground balls and four draw controls.
