SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior shortstop Andy Parrino (Brockport, N.Y. /Brockport) delivered two home runs for the Dolphins as Le Moyne defeated Iona in a MAAC doubleheader on Thursday at Dick Rockwell Field. The win improves the Dolphins mark to 30-17 on the season and 21-3 in conference. Iona falls to 16-34 and 8-17 in the MAAC.

In game one, senior pitcher Bobby Blevins (Briarcliff, N.Y. /Briarcliff) pitched eight strong innings allowing one earned run, scattering seven hits and striking out eight. In picking up his eighth victory of the season, Blevins became the first pitcher in program history to record 300 career strikeouts. Ben Gaal's (Manlius, N.Y. /Christian Brothers Academy) two-run home run in the bottom of the eight propelled the Dolphins to victory. Ryan Woods (Jacksonville, Fla. /Englewood) picked up his 14th save of the season in relief.

Eric Beaulac Troy, N.Y. /Troy) pitched seven innings of shut out ball as he allowed four hits and struck out eight. Iona's Kevin Carmody delivered six-plus innings of shutout pitching for the Gaels. The score remained deadlocked at 0-0 until the bottom of the 10th. Parrino delivered his second home run in dramatic fashion as he drove a Shawn Walsh fastball over the right-field fence to win the game. Woods once again delivered out of the bullpen to record three shutout innings in earn the win.

Le Moyne will wrap up its home schedule on Friday as they host Iona in the final game of a three game series. The Dolphins will recognize their senior class prior to the game.
