Easton, Mass. - Junior outside hitter Elizabeth Cheek
(Huntington Beach, Calif./Rosary) has been named to the
Northeast-10 Conference volleyball All-Conference Second Team, as
announced by the conference office.
Cheek, a three-time all-conference selection after earning
third-team honors as a freshman and second-team accolades as a
sophomore, led the Dolphins in kills for the third consecutive
season with 272 (2.89/gm). Cheek, named the conference's player of
the week on Sept. 15th and Oct. 6th, also led the team with 37
service aces and finished second with 228 digs (2.43/gm). Through
three seasons, Cheek has compiled 1,031 kills, the fifth-most in
the program's history, while averaging a program-best 3.24 kills
per game. On November 1st, Cheek became the fifth player in Le
Moyne's history to record 1,000 career kills when she landed her
fourth kill of the match against Pace. Defensively, Cheeks ranks
10th all-time on the Le Moyne charts with 881 digs and 2.77 digs
per game.
Le Moyne (14-13) finished the season on Friday, Nov. 14 with a
loss to eventual champion New Haven in the opening round of the
Northeast-10 Conference tournament.
