South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior forward Laurence Ekperigin">Laurence Ekperigin (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball co-player of the week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Ekperigin, named the conference's player of the week for the second time in four weeks this season, averaged 18.5 points, 14 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game last week to lead the Dolphins in a 1-1 week. Ekperigin, who has reached double-digits in scoring in 32 straight games dating back to last season, scored 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked two shots in a 74-67 loss at Pace on Wednesday night. With his 10th rebound of the contest, Ekperigin became the fifth Dolphin to record 900 career rebounds. He also moved from 10th to eighth place on the program's all-time scoring chart.

On Saturday, Ekperigin scored 13 points, pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end, and blocked five shots as the Dolphins defeated Assumption, 79-71. Ekperigin has recorded a double-double in six straight games after falling one rebound short in the season-opener at Caldwell.

Le Moyne (5-2, NE-10 3-2), which is receiving votes in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll, opens a stretch of three games in five days at Saint Rose on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
