WBB: UNDEFEATED PACE CRUISES TO 69-48 WIN OVER DOLPHINS

Syracuse, N.Y. – Maral Javadifar led four Setters in double figures with 16 points as Pace cruised to a 69-48 win over the Le Moyne College women's basketball team on Wednesday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Court.

Sophomore forward Emily Bayly (Schenectady, N.Y./Niskayuna) posted a team-best 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Dolphins in the setback. Graduate student center Courtney Coryea (Mooers Forks, N.Y./Northeast Clinton) tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks, while sophomore guard Torie Lee">Torie Lee (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) recorded 11 points.

Javadifar, who hit eight of her 11 shots from the field, registered 12 of her game-high point total in the first half. Brittany Huggins and Emily Trapani each pulled down seven rebounds, while scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively. Kerri White was the fourth Pace player in double digits with 11 points.

After Pace scored the first five points of the game - the first time in seven games this season Le Moyne didn't score first, the Dolphins scored eight of the next 10 points to take their only lead of the game. Lee and Coryea made lay-ups around a jumper from Javadifar before Bayly made a pair of lay-ups for an 8-7 lead at the 16:16 mark.

Pace scored 10 straight points and 14 of the next 16 to take control of the game. Five Setters scored in the stretch, led by five points from White. Lee hit a three-pointer and Bayly made a lay-up to close the gap to 21-15 with 5:47 left, but Pace rattled off 11 of the next 15 points to take a 32-19 lead into intermission. Javadifar posted six points in the final minutes of the stanza, while Huggins had four, including a three-pointer with 27 seconds left.

Pace scored 15 of the first 20 points of the second half to open up a 47-24 lead at the 14:20 mark. Kristin Connelly scored all eight of her points in the stretch with a jumper and two three-pointers, while Huggins made a pair of lay-ups and White hit a shot from three-point range.

After Le Moyne scored five straight points to get within 47-29 on a lay-up by Bayly and three points from Coryea, Pace's lead never dipped below 20 points the final 12 minutes of the game and peaked at 24 points at 56-32 with 9:27 to go.

Le Moyne (2-5, NE-10 0-4), which has lost four straight meetings to the Setters, returns to action on Saturday at Assumption at 1:30 p.m.
