WOMEN'S LACROSSE ROLLS TO 7TH STRAIGHT VICTORY BEHIND FOUR GOALS FROM LUNDBLAD, LE MOYNE OVER BUCKNELL 12-3

Lewisburg, PA – Senior captain Jackie Lundblad (Marietta, N.Y./Marcellus) registered five points on four goals and one assist to lead the Le Moyne women's lacrosse team to their seventh consecutive win with a 12-3 victory against Bucknell on Wednesday afternoon. The Dolphins (7-3) are tied with Albany for the third longest winning streak in the country. 

Bucknell (1-11) struck first with a goal from Ryan Gribbon to take an early 1-0 lead at the 25:12 mark of the first half. Lunblad notched her first goal at 22:24 for the 'Phins on a feed from Rebekah Elmer (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) to tie the game at 1-1. The Bison grabbed their only lead of the game at the 20:57 mark following a goal from Alison Heffernan to put them ahead 2-1.

Over the next 30 minutes of play, the Dolphins recorded nine unanswered goals to take control of the game.  Eight different players recorded points and seven tallied goals on the afternoon. Joining Lunblad in the scoring column was Stephanie Dussing (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) and Mia Valletta (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) with two goals each.  Elmer, Nerissa Barzee (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville), Michelle Phillips (Johnson City, N.Y./Maine Endwell) and Leah Lazarz (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) each added one goal apiece.

Sophomore Kelly Fucillo (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee), who ranks 16th in the nation in goals against average, held the Bison to three goals on 15 shots and recorded eight saves on the day.

Le Moyne returns to action on Friday, April 9th as they host the Florida Gators at 4:00 PM in their final regular season home game at the Le Moyne College campus.
