Marcellus, NY – The Le Moyne College Gold Wave hosted the 30th Annual Gold Wave Open on Monday, August 9th at the Tuscarora Golf Club in Marcellus, NY. A full field of thirty-six foursomes hits the links for a day of golf in support of  Le Moyne College Athletics.  Following a round of golf that just beat the impending rain storms, Gold Wave President J.C. Whipple '95 presented Le Moyne President Dr. Fred Pestello with a check for $25,000 to be directed to the turf field complex.

Two years ago, the Gold Wave made an unprecedented commitment by pledging $125,000 over five years to the construction of the project. Monday's presentation was the third installment of that pledge. In addition to a sold-out field, the tournament saw a record level of corporate involvement that featured 16 corporate foursomes.

In the tournament's history, over $700,000 dollars has been generated to support scholarships, enhance facilities and fuel the ever-growing achievements of Le Moyne College student-athletes.
