South Easton, Mass. – Le Moyne College sophomore Matthew Silva">Matthew Silva (Brampton, Ontario/St. Augustine) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Silva, who earns his fourth career weekly accolade from the conference after being honored as rookie of the week three straight weeks last year, registered a 0.00 goals against average and made six saves in a pair of Northeast-10 victories on the road this past week. Silva, the Rookie of the Year and a third team all-conference selection last year, posted four saves in a 2-0 win at Saint Rose on Wednesday. He followed that performance up with two saves in a battle of teams near the top of the conference standings in a 2-0 win at Bentley on Saturday. Silva, who has played every minute in between the pipes this year, ranks fifth in the conference in goals against average (0.89), saves (47) and save percentage (.810).

Le Moyne (7-4-1, 6-2) wraps up non-conference play on Wednesday against Dominican at 4:00 p.m.
