Syracuse, N.Y. - Senior attacker Julia Suriani (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca East) recorded five points to lead the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 15-4 win over Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

The teams traded goals over the opening 81 seconds of the game. Junior attacker Erica Geremia (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee/SUNY Cortland) got the Dolphins on the scoreboard at the 29:23 mark with her 44th goal of the season off a pass from junior attacker Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker). Briana Sweeney evened the score at one apiece with a free-position goal 44 seconds later.

Following seven minutes of scoreless action, the Dolphins scored the final eight goals of the first half. Freshman attacker Abbie McEntee (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) started the run with a free-position goal with 21:44 to play. Geremia scored the next two goals in a span of 28 seconds. The first was unassisted at the 19:31 mark, while the second was off a pass from Suriani. Sophomore midfielder Amari Pollard (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) gave the Dolphins a 5-1 lead with 16:07 left in a man-down situation off a pass from Monnat, her team-best 48th assist of the season.

Suriani scored consecutive goals 21 seconds apart to give the Dolphins a 7-1 advantage with 6:48 left. Her first came off a feed from Geremia with 7:09 left, while the second was off a pass from sophomore midfielder Molly McGuane (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus), who was lined up for a free-position attempt.

The Dolphins closed out the scoring in the first half with two goals in a span of 20 seconds with under two minutes left. Off a drive from the left alley, Monnat tallied her 21s goal of the season with 1:43 left. Pollard then finished off a pass from senior midfielder Laura Hoffman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) with 1:23 to go.

Le Moyne extended its run to 14 straight goals with the first six of the second half. Pollard started the half's scoring with a free-position goal with 25:14 left. Suriani then gave the Dolphins a double-digit lead with an unassisted tally at the 23:18 mark.

Following seven minutes of scoreless play, Suriani converted a free-position shot to tie Geremia for the team lead in goals with 46, which is tied for the ninth-most in a season in the program's history. Hoffman finished off a pass from Geremia with 11:29 left, while freshman attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) tallied her eighth goal of the year with 7:32 remaining. Pollard completed Le Moyne's scoring with her 31st goal of the season with 5:56 to play off a feed from sophomore attacker Alexis Garbarino (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell).

Franklin Pierce scored three times over the final 4:01 to deliver the final score. Off a pass from Amanda Gauvin, Anna Wilbert netted her ninth goal of the year with 4:01 left. Lauren Beville then tallied her 20th goal of the campaign with 2:04 remaining after taking a pass from Madeline Shopshire. Sherra Dowling closed out the game's scoring with her first goal of the year with three seconds left.

Senior goalkeeper Molly Marbut (Edgewater, Md./South River) made five saves (against one goal) over 52:28 between the pipes to earn her 13th victory of the season. Denise Hunt recorded 10 saves in the setback for the Ravens.

Le Moyne (13-1, 10-0 NE-10), which clinched a home game in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (Wed, April 29, 2:00 p.m.), returns to action on Saturday at Merrimack College at 12:00 p.m.
