The Le Moyne College community gathered Wednesday afternoon to view the newly renovated Events Center and Ted Grant Court. The renovation project, which started in June, featured the installation of a new floor and floor design, chair-back seating and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, which will allow the Events Center to host academic and artistic events in addition to intercollegiate athletic events.
Following a blessing of the facility by Athletic Department Chaplin
Fr. Frank Nash, S.J.. President Dr. Linda Le Mura christened the new court by sinking the first basket. Those in attendance were able to tour the facility looking a the new features and court design that features a two-toned look with the Le Moyne Dolphin logo blazing across center court.
The first official contest was held Wednesday night and featured the Le Moyne Volleyball team, off to one of the best starts in program history, defeating Roberts Wesleyan by the score of 3-2.
