Erica Geremia (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee/SUNY Cortland) registered six points to lead the second-ranked and second-seeded Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to an 18-11 victory over third-seeded Bentley University on Saturday afternoon in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship semifinals at Adelphi University's Motamed Field.
Le Moyne (17-1) advances to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship game for the fifth time in six years and will take on top-ranked and top-seeded Adelphi University on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead through the opening 1:49 of the game. Ciara Morley started the scoring 19 seconds into the game on a free-position shot. Taylor Lunden pushed the lead to two with 28:11 remaining off a feed from Kelsey Howard.
The Dolphins answered with back-to-back goals to even the score at two. Freshman midfielder
Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) got the Dolphins on the scoreboard at the 26:03 mark with her 13th goal of the season, while she followed with her 14th goal 1:21 later after taking a pass from freshman attackman

Bentley regained the lead with 23:49 to play on an unassisted goal by Hannah Lindgren.
Le Moyne responded with 10 straight goals to take control of the game. Senior attacker
Claire Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) ignited the run with her 14th goal of the year just 43 seconds after Lindgren scored. Twin sister
Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) gave the Dolphins their first lead of the game with 20:33 left with her 40th goal of the season. Geremia recorded her first goal of the game with 19:24 left by converting a free-position shot, while junior defender
Vicki Graveline (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) followed with her ninth goal of the season with 17:02 to go to force a Bentley timeout. Geremia was then part of three goals in a span of 65 seconds as she found the back of the net with 8:27 left, fed

Maggie Monnat.
Meredith Hart trimmed Bentley's deficit to 12-4 with 52 seconds left in the half off a pass from Lindgren, but Geremia scored as time expired to give the Dolphins a 13-4 lead at the intermission.
As it did in the first half, Bentley scored the first two goals of the second quarter. Lindgren got the scoring started with her 41st goal of the year 1:09 into the half, while Erin O'Connor followed with a free-position goal with 26:34 to go.
The Monnats got the Dolphins on the scoreboard in the second half as Maggie finished off a pass from Claire with 22:35 remaining.
After Howard recorded her 38th goal of the year with 19:40 left, Fazio and
Maggie Monnat followed with goals at 15:52 and 14:30 for Le Moyne's third nine-goal lead of the game.
Lindgren cut the margin to eight with 12:52 remaining, but Fazio answered with her 50th goal of the season with 11:30 left for her team's final nine-goal lead of contest.
Bentley scored three of the final four goals of the game to deliver the final margin. Lindgren scored off a free-position shot with 5:58 to go and then fed O'Connor for a goal 31 seconds later. Sanna registered her third goal of the contest with 2:24 left to complete Le Moyne's scoring, while O'Connor scored off a free-position shot in an extra-player situation with 70 seconds remaining.
Senior goalkeeper
Ryan Cortese (Brewerton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) recorded 10 saves, including seven in the first half, to become the third goalkeeper in the program's history with 16 wins between the pipes in a season. Lauren Ochs, the NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year, made six saves (against the 18 goals) in the loss for the Falcons.
