Manchester, N.H. – Candace Andrews made a go-ahead lay-up with 53 seconds left as Saint Anselm College recorded a 65-60 win over the Le Moyne College women's basketball team on Tuesday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

Nicole Riddick (Albany, N.Y./Colonie/UMass Lowell) came off the bench to record 14 points, including 10 in the second half, and grab eight rebounds. Classmate
Courtney Webster (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) registered a season-high 12 points, 10 of which came in the first half, while adding four rebounds and two blocked shots. Senior guard
Ailayia Demand (Watervliet, N.Y./Watervliet) was the third Dolphin in double digits with 10 points. Freshman guard
McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) scored nine points and dished out a career-best 10 assists, the most by a Le Moyne freshman since Danielle Felice '11 on December 15, 2007.
Andrews led the Hawks to the victory with 16 points, including 11 in the first half, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ali Glennon recorded 13 points, including nine in the second half.
After Roberts opened the game's scoring with a lay-up, the Hawks tallied seven straight points, the last five of which were scored by Caitlyn Abela. The Dolphins answered with five straight points to tie the game at seven.
The Hawks countered with four points to take their first of three four-point leads over the final three minutes of the first quarter, the last of which came on a pair of free throws by Erin Waters with two seconds left in the period.
Following a basket by Webster to start the scoring in the second quarter, the Hawks tallied 13 of the next 17 points to take their largest lead of the game, 31-20, with 3:20 left in the half. Clairee Putnam ignited the run with a three-pointer and then Andrews scored eight points around a lay-up by Michaela Martin.
Le Moyne responded with 13 straight points to take the lead. Roberts opened the streak with five straight points, junior guard
Ellie Leszyk (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) and Riddick knocked down jumpers in the paint, Demand tied the score with a fast-break lay-up and then Riddick put the Dolphins in front, 33-31, with another jumper in the paint with 30 seconds left.
Kaila Duarte knotted the score at 33 with a lay-up as the quarter expired.
The teams went back and forth in the third quarter with the score being tied at 35, 37, 42, 45 and 47.
The Hawks tallied the first five points of the fourth quarter and eight of the first 10 to jump out to a six-point advantage. Glennon and Putnam each made three-pointers in the span for the Hawks.
After Martin made two free throws to put Saint Anselm in front 60-55 with 3:59 remaining, the Dolphins scored five straight points to tie the score for the 11th and final time. Roberts started the spurt with a lay-up, Riddick followed with a lay-up with 2:55 left and then Riddick evened the score with a free throw with 1:17 remaining.
Andrews gave the Hawks the lead for good with a lay-up 24 seconds later. Glennon, Martin and Andrews each went 1-for-2 from the foul line over the last 27 seconds to put the game away.
Le Moyne (9-6, 5-4 NE10) is back on the court on Saturday at Merrimack College at 1:00 p.m.
