Ben Walsh (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) blasted a walk-off home run to give the Le Moyne College baseball team a 4-3 win over Seton Hill University on Saturday morning at Finch Field. The Dolphins lost their second game of the day, 10-2, to St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Seton Hill opened the day's scoring with a run without a hit in the first inning. Center fielder Craig Lewis was hit by a pitch with one out and then advanced to third as third baseman Tom McCarthy reached on a throwing error by Walsh. Lewis then scored on a wild pitch.
The Dolphins evened the score in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to left field to open the frame by junior left fielder

Le Moyne used a hit and a Seton Hill error to take the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Sophomore designated hitter
Camillo Spinoso (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/George Washington) singled to right center with one out and came around to score as senior catcher
Gabe Levanti (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Northeastern) reached on a throwing error by the third baseman.
The Griffins knotted the score for the second time in the fifth. Second baseman Tyler Sullivan walked with one out, moved to second on a groundout and scored on a single to center by designated hitter Garret Vrbanic.
Seton Hill took the lead back in the sixth on two hits. McCarthy led off with a single through the left side, took second on a groundout and scored on a single through the right side by first baseman Ryan Wardropper.
The Dolphins tied the score in the eighth without getting a hit. Senior center fielder
Donato DiNorcia (Naples, Fla./Seacrest Country Day) walked to start the inning, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, took third on a wild pitch and then scored as Levanti reached on a fielding error by the shortstop.
After the Griffins stranded a runner at third base in the top of the ninth, Walsh ended the game with his second home run of the season to left center on a 3-2 pitch.
Junior righty
Alex Kubera (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk/Niagara C.C.) earned his third win of the season after tossing the top of the ninth inning. Senior righty
Damian Powers (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) struck out nine over the first eight innings, while allowing just three hits, in his third no-decision of the season. Spinoso and Walsh each had two of Le Moyne's five hits. Don McWreath took the loss after giving up two runs on two hits over two and one-third innings.
St. Thomas Aquinas scored the only runs it would need with a three-run homer in the third inning. After shortstop Joseph Pena walked and second baseman Greg Dawber singled to start the frame, designated hitter Deven Del Priore homered to left center. Third baseman/first baseman Anthony Shkrelja followed two pitches later with a home run down the left field line.
Pena extended the lead to five with a one-out solo home run to right field in the fourth.
Catcher Cris Ruiz smacked a one-out solo home run to left field in the fifth inning for a 6-0 lead.

Brian Cox (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) reached on a bunt single with one out and moved to second on a walk by sophomore first baseman
Nick Place (Towanda, Pa./Towanda). After a wild pitch moved him to third, Cox scored on a wild pitch as Spinoso walked. Place then raced home on another wild pitch.
The Spartans answered back with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Shkrelja singled to center with one out and advanced to second on a throwing error by the catcher. After a walk by center fielder Michael Morgan, right fielder Giovanni Dingcong doubled down the left field line to drive in Shkrelja. Two batters later, Ryan Coulon doubled down the left field line to plate Morgan and Dingcong.
St. Thomas Aquinas completed the game's scoring with one run in the seventh. Pena walked to start the frame, stole second with one out and came around to score on a two-out single to left by Shkrelja.
Sophomore righty
