THIRD-RANKED WOMEN’S LACROSSE REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH 14-6 WIN AT MERRIMACK

North Andover, Mass. – Senior midfielder Vicki Graveline (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) and freshman attacker Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) each scored five goals to lead the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 14-6 win over Merrimack College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Friday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.

The Dolphins scored the first four goals of the game. Freshman midfielder Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) started the scoring by finishing off a feed from sophomore attacker Maddie Knapp (Watertown, N.Y./South Jefferson) just under two and one-half minutes into the game. Hall converted a free-position shot for her 21st goal of the year one minute later. Senior midfielder Molly McGuane (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) put the Dolphins up 3-0 with 17:39 left by making a free-position shot for her 11th goal of the year. Graveline picked up her first goal of the day 71 seconds later.

Olivia Colletti got the Warriors on the scoreboard with 11:58 left in the half with a free-position goal.

Graveline answered back 35 seconds later and Hall followed with another goal 1:17 after that.

Ally DaCosta pulled Merrimack back within four with a free-position tally with 7:37 remaining in the half.

Le Moyne scored three times in the last 2:46 of the half to take a 9-2 lead into the intermission. Junior attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) ignited the spurt by finishing off a pass from Hall, who then fed Graveline 53 seconds later for her 30th goal of the season. Graveline completed the half's scoring with an unassisted goal in a six-on-six situation with seven seconds left.

Merrimack got the scoring started in the second half as Colletti scored in a player-down situation at the 28:08 mark off a pass from Amber Feminella.

Hall pushed Le Moyne's lead back to seven with 25:35 left in the game with her third goal of the contest.

The Warriors countered with three straight goals over a span of 10:44. Annette Ruggiero started the streak with her 19th goal of the year with 25:02 left off a pass from Feminella. Just over 10 minutes later, Bridget Schofield found the back of the net for the 20th time this season off another feed from Feminella. Emma Bonassar capped the run 25 seconds later after taking a pass from Kyra Schwartzman.

The Dolphins responded with the game's final four goals over the last 5:55. Hall started the run with an unassisted goal and then Graveline put in an unassisted marker of her own with 4:15 left. After causing a turnover and picking up the loose ball, Hall registered her fifth goal of the game and 25th of the season with 3:56 to play. Pardee capped the game's scoring with 29 seconds left after collecting a pass from McGuane.

Freshman goalkeeper Hannah George (Johnson City, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) recorded five saves to earn her 12th win of the year. She is the first goalkeeper in the program's history to win their first 12 career starts. Lauren Trepaney turned away 11 shots in the loss for the Warriors.
