Waltham, Mass. – The fifth-seeded Le Moyne College men's tennis team fell in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships to fourth-seeded Bentley University, 5-1, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons opened the day by taking two of the three matches in the doubles competition. At the second spot, Chase Rosa and Dylan Granat registered an 8-4 win over freshman
Josh Sagaille (Schenectady, N.Y./Justine Henin Academy (Belgium)) and junior
Jason Barton (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee). Michael Fuca and Brett Gilman were 8-2 winners over senior
James Gayvert (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) and sophomore
Tyler Underwood (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) at the third position. Le Moyne earned its point at the top position as freshman
Philip Blythe (Edinburgh, Scotland/Merchiston) and junior
Hallam Doney (Andover, Hampshire/Peter Symonds) defeated Brendan McCarthy and George Samander, 8-1.
In the singles competition, the Falcons won the bottom three positions to clinch the match. At the fourth spot, Rosa registered a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Sagaille. Fuca turned in a 6-3, 6-4 win at the fifth position over Barton. Gilman recorded a 7-5, 6-1 victory at the sixth spot against senior

The Dolphins finish the season with an overall record of 10-10.
