DeWitt, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis closed out the non-conference portion of its Fall schedule with a 5-2 win over Roberts Wesleyan College on Wednesday afternoon at the Elevate Fitness tennis courts.
The Dolphins took a 1-0 lead in the match by sweeping the doubles competition for the seventh time this season. Senior

Birdem Oz (Istanbul, Turkey/TED Ankara College Foundation HS) earned their eighth win of the year at the first position, 6-0, over Nthabi Mogopodi and Andrea Gallardo. At the second spot, sophomores
Marta Nunez (Rye, N.Y./Antonio Lopez (Spain)) and
Caroline St. Antoine (Longueuil, Québec/Cégep Édouard-Montpetit) were 6-1 winners over Bijisha Shrestha and Salome Darsalia. Sophomore
Camila Humala (Lima, Peru/Antonio Raimondi) and freshman
Brooke Fernandez (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) teamed at the third position for a 6-4 win over Marousia Bosch and Laura Freeman.
Le Moyne won four of the six matches in the singles competition to clinch the victory. St. Antoine gave the Dolphins a 2-0 lead with back-to-back 6-2 wins at the fourth spot over Shrestha. Oz extended the lead to three with consecutive 6-1 wins over Gallardo at the second position. The Redhawks got on the scoreboard as Mogopodi defeated Hamdan at the top spot, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4. Bosch pulled the Redhawks within 3-2 with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 win at the third position over Nunez. Humala clinched the win for the Dolphins by rallying for a 0-6, 6-2, 6-1 win at the sixth spot over Darsalia. Freshman
Belen Wibmer (Maldonado, Uruguay/St. Joseph Mary College) earned her 11th dual match win of the year, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, at the fifth position over Freeman.
Le Moyne (10-4) closes out the regular season at the University of New Haven on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The Dolphins can finish as the fourth, fifth or sixth seed in next week's NE10 Championship depending on their result against New Haven and Assumption's result against Stonehill on a still to be determined date.
