Stonehill, which defeated the Dolphins in the NE10 tournament for the third time, countered with five free throws over the next 2:28 to take the lead. Martin made one foul shot, Walsh connected on two with 4:30 left and Grip put the Skyhawks up 54-53 with 2:33 remaining with two free throws.
Dobrovosky hit a jump shot with 2:16 left to put the Dolphins back in front, 55-54, but the Dolphins would not score again.
Only 21 seconds after Dobrovosky's basket, she committed her fifth foul, which sent Hyslip to the foul line. The second team all-conference forward converted both free throws to put the Skyhawks up 56-55.
Following an empty possession by each team, the Dolphins misfired on three shots over a possession that lasted 1:14. After the last miss, Hyslip grabbed the rebound with one second left and was fouled. She again made both attempts to complete the game's scoring.
