Syracuse, N.Y. – The #24/25 Le Moyne College women's basketball team used a 37-14 second half to tie the program's consecutive wins record with its 13th straight with a 66-46 victory over Saint Michael's College on Wednesday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Court.
The Dolphins tie the program record for consecutive wins set during the 1994-95 season, while the nine straight wins in NE10 play is the longest in the program's 23 years in the conference and the longest conference win streak since the 1994-95 team won 11 straight in NECC action as part of the 13-game streak.
Junior guard
McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) tallied her fourth career double-double and her third of the season with 14 points, including 12 in the second half, and a program record-tying 13 assists. She ties Lindsay Carr's 13-assist performance against Saint Michael's on January 31, 2007 for the most in a game in the program's history. Redshirt sophomore guard
Liz Millea (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) led all scorers in the contest with 18 points, 13 of which came in the first half, while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out three assists. Graduate student forward
Corinne Poitevien (Bardonia, N.Y./Paramus Catholic (N.J.)) also scored 14 points, including eight in the second half, and a game-high seven rebounds.
Taylor Miller, Nicole Anderson and Alyssa Breunig each scored nine points to lead the Purple Knights in the loss, while Miller grabbed seven rebounds.
The Dolphins opened the game with the first seven points over the initial 71 seconds. Poitevien started the scoring with a lay-up, Millea followed with a three-pointer and freshman guard
Cameron Tooley (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) capped the start with a fast-break lay-up. All three baskets were assisted by Roberts.
Saint Michael's countered with 10 of the next 14 points to get within one. Four players scored in the run, which was led by four points from Miller.

Erin Fouracre (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie Central) hit a jumper and then fed Poitevien for a fast-break lay-up at the buzzer.
The Purple Knights scored the first eight points of the second quarter to take their first lead of the game. Miller and Anderson made jumpers and then Emily Ferreri scored four straight points for a 20-18 lead with 7:47 to go.
The Dolphins answered with six straight points to regain a two-possession lead. Millea drilled her third three-pointer of the game, made a free throw 21 seconds later and then freshman forward
Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) converted a jump shot.
Saint Michael's countered with 12 of the next 15 points to take its largest lead of the game. Breunig knocked down a pair of three-pointers in the middle of the run, while three others each scored two points.
Roberts got the Dolphins within 32-29 at halftime with a floater in the paint with 50 seconds left.
After the teams traded points over the opening five minutes of the third quarter, the Dolphins scored the final five points to take a 41-37 lead into the final period. Poitevien put the Dolphins in front with a pair of lay-ups and junior forward
Colleen Corcoran (Beverly, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) closed out the quarter with a free throw with less than one second left.
Following four points by each team in the opening two and one-half minutes of the fourth quarter, the Dolphins scored six straight points to take their first double-digit lead of the game. Roberts had a conventional three-point play and then Tooley buried a three-pointer for a 51-41 lead with 6:08 to play.
After the teams traded over the next three minutes, the Dolphins scored the final 11 points of the game. Millea scored five of the points, Roberts had four and Zimmerman converted a lay-up. Roberts collected her record-tying 13th assist of the game on Millea's career-high fifth three-pointer of the contest with 1:55 to play.
Le Moyne (17-2, 11-2 NE10), which earned its first-ever national ranking on Tuesday, concludes play against the NE10 Northeast Division on Saturday by hosting Assumption College at 1:00 p.m.
