Emma Brinker (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Le Moyne College women's basketball team to a 64-43 win over Roberts Wesleyan College in non-conference action on Tuesday night at the Voller Athletic Center.
Brinker tallied nine of her game-high point total in the fourth quarter as the Dolphins pulled away, while finishing the contest with six rebounds. Redshirt junior guard
Liz Millea (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) posted 15 points, including nine in the fourth quarter. Senior guard
McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) flirted with a triple-double with 11 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Sophomore forward
Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) pulled down a game-best 10 rebounds to go along with eight points.
Emily Miller led the Redhawks in the loss with 13 points, all of which came in the second and third quarters, while grabbing seven rebounds.
The Dolphins opened the game with the first six points and 13 of the first 17. Brinker had six points, Roberts had three points and Millea and senior forward
Colleen Corcoran (Beverly, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) made lay-ups.
After Roberts Wesleyan made a lay-up, the Dolphins closed out the quarter with the final six points for a19-6 lead. Millea and Roberts made shots around a lay-up by sophomore guard

Following a lay-up by the Redhawks to start the second quarter, the Dolphins scored the next five points to take their largest lead of the half. Zimmerman buried a three-pointer and Millea followed with a jumper off an offensive rebound by Zimmerman.
Roberts Wesleyan answered with a 13-3 run to pull within six with 3:11 left in the half. Miller led the charge with seven points.
Zimmerman hit a three-pointer and Brinker followed with a jumper to push Le Moyne's lead back to 11, but the Redhawks scored the final four points of the quarter to get within 32-25 at halftime.
Roberts Wesleyan scored the first four points of the third quarter to trim its deficit to 32-29 with 8:01 left in the quarter.
Following three-pointers by Tooley and Roberts around one by Taryn Wilson, the Redhawks got baskets in the paint from Tashayla Sutorius and Miller to pull within two.
Brinker scored off a pass from Roberts with two seconds left to give the Dolphins a 42-38 lead after 30 minutes of play.
Le Moyne scored the first 16 points of the fourth quarter to blow the game open. Millea led the run with seven points, while Brinker scored five points and Zimmerman and Roberts each scored two.
Following a Roberts Wesleyan basket, the Dolphins scored the next six points to take their largest lead of the game. Brinker made lay-ups around a jumper by Millea.
Aashlyn McKnight hit a three-pointer as time expired to deliver the game's final margin.
Le Moyne (3-2), which has won back-to-back games, opens Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday at the University of New Haven at 1:30 p.m.
