WOMEN’S BASKETBALL CRUISES TO 90-45 VICTORY OVER SAINT ROSE FOR FIRST NE10 WIN

Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior guard McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) surpassed a pair of milestones to lead the Le Moyne College women's basketball team to a 90-45 victory over The College of Saint Rose in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday evening at Ted Grant Court.

The Dolphins reached the 90-point plateau for the eighth time in the program's history (1,078 all-time games) and for the first time since scoring 92 against Georgian Court University on November 14, 2015. It also marks the fourth time in 482 all-time NE10 games scoring at least 90 points and the first time since recording a program-best 97 at Bentley University on January 7, 2015.

Roberts finished the contest with 17 points, including seven in the second quarter, a game-high eight assists and five rebounds. With her made jumper with 3:04 left in the third quarter, she became the sixth player in the program's history to score 1,400 career points. With her fifth assist of the game, which came with 9:27 left in the second quarter, she tallied the 500th of her career. Redshirt junior guard Liz Millea (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) recorded a team-high 18 points, including nine in the first quarter. Sophomore forward Emma Brinker (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) registered her second career double-double with 14 points, including eight in the first quarter, and a career high-tying 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) tallied 12 points and a career-best four steals.

Leah Dollard led the Golden Knights with a game-high 20 points, 10 of which came in the third quarter, while adding six rebounds.

After Saint Rose scored the first two points of the game, the Dolphins answered with 10 straight. Brinker scored four of the points, while three others each scored two points.

The Golden Knights scored four of the next six points, but Le Moyne rattled off a 13-2 run to take a 25-8 lead after 10 minutes of play. Millea had five of the points, Brinker had four and Roberts dished out three assists.

Following a Saint Rose free throw 1:06 into the second quarter, the Dolphins ran off 12 straight points to take a 40-9 lead with 5:22 to play in the half. Brinker and Millea each had four points in the stretch.

The Golden Knights countered with eight of the next 10 points to get back within 25 with 2:05 to go in the half. Dollard accounted for the final six points of the run.

Le Moyne scored six of the last eight points of the half to take a 48-19 lead into the intermission.

The Dolphins opened the third quarter with eight of the first 10 points for their first 35-point lead of the game. Zimmerman and Millea made three-pointers around a lay-up by Brinker.

The Golden Knights scored six consecutive points to get within 29 with 7:03 left before the teams went back and forth over the remainder of the quarter as Le Moyne's lead bounced between 28 and 34 points and settled at 31 (73-41) after 30 minutes of play.

After Dollard made two foul shots with 8:38 to play to get the Golden Knights within 77-45, the Dolphins scored the final 13 points of the game. Freshman guard Lytoya Baker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) scored five of the points, while four others each scored two points.
