Syracuse, N.Y. – Emma Bernet tossed a three-hitter to lead fourth-seeded Pace University to a 4-1 win over the third-seeded Le Moyne College softball team in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex.
The Dolphins close out the season with a 21-19 record and appeared in the NE10 Championships for an NE10-record 20th straight year.

The Setters answered with single runs in each of the next four innings. Right fielder Jillian Gartner led off the second inning with a triple and scored on a one-out sacrifice fly to center by third baseman Emma Schafer.
Pace took the lead with a run on three hits in the third inning. Second baseman Emma Carruth led off with a single to right field and moved to second on a single in front of the plate by shortstop Briana Ryan. After a fly you, left fielder Lindsey Ah Soon singled to left field to drive in Carruth.
Catcher Aby Brambila gave the Setters a 3-1 lead by leading off the fourth inning with a home run.
Pace completed the game's scoring in the fifth with a run on two hits. First baseman Annie Carberry led off with a single through the left side, moved to third on a passed ball, took third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a single through the right side by Gartner.
Bellrose suffered the loss in the circle after yielding four runs and nine hits over six innings. Williams accounted for two of Le Moyne's three hits in the game. Bernet struck out six batters in her 10th win of the season, while not allowing a hit after the third inning.
