FOURTH-RANKED ADELPHI RECORDS 12-11 DOUBLE-OVERTIME WIN OVER TOP-RANKED WOMEN’S LACROSSE IN EAST REGION FINAL

Syracuse, N.Y. – Kole Pollock scored with 4.6 seconds left in the first half of the second overtime period to give fourth-ranked and third-seeded Adelphi University a 12-11 double-overtime win over the top-ranked and top-seeded Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team in the NCAA Championships East Region final on Sunday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

The Dolphins conclude the season with a 20-2 record, the second-most wins in the program's history.

Sophomores Erin McMullen (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and Sydney Meagher (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) led the Dolphins offensively with four points each as McMullen had four goals and Meagher posted a goal and three assists. Defensively, junior Olivia McEntee (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) recorded three caused turnovers, three ground balls and two draw controls.
