Syracuse, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College women's tennis team got back on track with a 7-0 Northeast-10 Conference dual match win at the Nottingham High School tennis courts against Bentley University on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
The Dolphins won all three of the doubles matches to begin the day. The team of Marta Nunez (Rye, N.Y./Antonio Lopez (Spain)) and Brianna Laureti (Oneida, N.Y./Oneida) defeated Bentley's Zoe Chin and Alyssa Cook 6-1 in the number three doubles match. Isabella Barona (Manta, Ecuador/Talentos de Manta) and Brooke Fernandez (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) took down Makena Romagnano and Anna Lang 6-3 in number two doubles, and in the number one doubles match Birdem Oz (Istanbul, Turkey/Ted Ankara College Foundation HS) and Francesca Lilliegren (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Colegio Alemán Humboldt Guayaquil) defeated Maria Mella and Adriana Hiraldo 6-3.
Laureti remained unbeaten in singles competition this season, blanking Rachel Holden 6-0, 6-0 in the number six singles match. Fernandez bested Lang 6-3, 6-3 in number five singles, and Le Moyne's Fiona Pepper (Challapampa, Peru/Colegio Anglo Americano Prescott) defeated Remi LeSage 6-1, 6-4 in the number four singles match. Nunez won her number three singles match 6-4, 6-1 over Hiraldo, and Oz did not concede a game during her 6-0, 6-0 victory over Romagnano in number two singles. Barona defeated Mella 6-1, 6-3 in the number one singles match.

"It was a great Senior Day for Brooke, Bri, and Birdem. Everyone took care of business on the court. Off the court it was great to celebrate the three seniors with our administration and fans. We're really excited for tomorrow. It'll be a great test for everyone."
The Le Moyne College women's tennis team will face Franklin Pierce University at the Nottingham High School tennis courts tomorrow, Sunday October 10 at 4:00 p.m. EST.
