Ashland, Ohio - The Le Moyne College women's basketball team fell on the road to the #9 nationally ranked Eagles of Ashland University on Monday afternoon by a score of 87-49.

The Dolphins were playing without point guard Erin Fouracre (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie Central) and reserve guard Lexi Gruss (Binghamton, N.Y./Binghamton), and in their absence junior guard Lytoya Baker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) handled a lion's share of the ball-handling responsibilities, finishing the game with a career-high 13 assists, which is tied for the most assists in a single game in program history. Baker also contributed 12 points and 7 rebounds in 37 minutes of action.

Redshirt-junior guard Saeeda Abdul-Aziz (Schenectady, N.Y./Mohonasen/Davidson) led the Dolphins in scoring with 14 points on 3-6 shooting from behind the three-point line.

Senior forwards Emma Brinker (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) and Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) each contributed 10 points to the Dolphins cause, and Brinker came up three rebounds short of completing her sixth consecutive double-double.

First year guard Emily Florvil (Brooklyn, N.Y./Nazareth) made her first career start as a Dolphin, logged a career-high 27 minutes, and came away with three steals and three rebounds.

The depleted Dolphins were left with a seven-player rotation, while the deep Eagles were buoyed by 23 points from their bench.

Ashland forward Annie Roshak, who scored her 1,000th career point during the contest, finished the game with 22 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Guard Hallie Heidemann, who scored her 1,000th career point in Ashland's previous game at Tiffin, knocked down five three-point field goals and finished the contest with 20 points and five rebounds. Eagles forward Karlee Pireu finished the game with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Eagles improved to 9-1 on the year, while the Dolphins fell to 4-2 after suffering their first non-conference loss of the season.
