Sarah Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) scored four goals to lead the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 23-6 victory over Southern Connecticut State University in the Northeast-10 Conference regular season finale for both teams on Wednesday morning at Ted Grant Field.
The Dolphins finish the regular season at 12-0 and won the NE10 Southwest Division by four games for their sixth regular season title in 10 full seasons in the conference. As the top seed in the division, the Dolphins will get a bye in the first round of the conference championship and will open play on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Pending any opt-outs by teams below the Dolphins in the standings, the Dolphins will take on either the University of New Haven or Southern Connecticut State in the quarterfinals (aka divisional semifinals).
Le Moyne opened the game with the first 12 goals over the initial 21 minutes. Junior midfielder
Adrianna Nojaim (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) started the scoring at the 26:23 mark with her 23rd goal of the season. Just 44 seconds later, senior midfielder
Sydney Meagher (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) netted her 19th goal of the year. Sophomore attacker
Gemma Addonizio (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) tallied her 14th goal of the campaign with 21:16. Hutchings made it 4-0 by converting a free-position shot with 18:58 left and Nojaim followed 71 seconds later by scoring after having her initial shot saved. Senior midfielder
Lauren Ferris (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) followed 43 seconds later with her eighth goal of the year after collecting a pass from Hutchings to force a timeout.
Senior attacker
Brynne Lafave (Philadelphia, N.Y./Indian River) gave the Dolphins a 7-0 lead with 15:23 left and senior attacker
Erin McMullen (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) followed 56 seconds later by finishing off a feed from Ferris. Just 36 seconds later, graduate student attacker
Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) became just the sixth player in the program's history to score 150 career goals after taking a pass from Addonizio.
Hutchings followed with the next two goals. She gave the Dolphins a double-digit lead with 13:03 left on a free-position shot and then found the back of the net off a feed from McMullen with 11:12 until halftime. Lafave completed the opening outburst with her fourth goal of the campaign with 9:21 remaining.
Southern Connecticut tallied the next two goals to cut its deficit back to 10. Brianna Shaw scored the first goal at the 6:40 mark and then Bayleigh Takacs converted a free-position shot with 4:07 left in the half.
Sophomore attacker
Payton Bernardoni (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) finished off the scoring in the half with a free-position goal with 32 seconds left.
Le Moyne, which has scored 20+ goals in back-to-back games for the first time since March 31 and April 4, 2015 and tallied its most goals in a two-game span (44) since tallying 46 in wins on April 10 and 14, 2012, tallied the first four goals of the second half. Meagher made it 14-2 with 27:49 left off a pass from Nojaim. Just 56 seconds later, McMullen became the seventh player in the program's history to score 150 career goals after receiving a pass from Hall. Bernardoni followed with her ninth goal of the season at the 24:10 mark off a feed from junior attacker
Molly Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson/George Mason), who then scored with 22:14 remaining.
Hailey Gordon scored for the Owls with 19:46 remaining.
Ferris answered with 16:59 left off a pass from Nojaim, while Hutchings followed with her fourth goal of the contest at the 15:06 mark off a dish from Meagher.
After Karlie Rowe scored with 12:33 left for Southern Connecticut's fourth goal, Le Moyne scored its final four goals. Graduate student defender

Reilly Geer (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) scored her sixth goal of the year off another dish from
Sidney Hall. Redshirt sophomore midfielder
Katelyn Karleski (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) got into the scoring column with 7:10 to play after collecting a pass from Geer, who then completed Le Moyne's scoring with 5:52 remaining.
Takacs played a role in the game's last two goals. She fed Gordon with 2:48 left and then finished off a pass from Steph Seymour with 15 ticks remaining.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Paige Crandall (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) improved to 12-0 after making a pair of saves in the first half. Laura Morton tallied six saves (against 17 goals) for the Owls.
