Syracuse, N.Y. – The 2021 Le Moyne College volleyball team is slated to open its season on Saturday, September 4, as the team's schedule was released on Tuesday afternoon.
The 21-match schedule will feature seven home contests, 10 road matches and four contests at neutral sites. The Dolphins will play 13 Northeast-10 Conference matches and eight non-conference affairs.
The Dolphins will open the season in Manchester, Hampshire at Southern New Hampshire University and Saint Anselm College. Their first match of the season will see the Dolphins pitted against Post University at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, September 4. The Dolphins will then take on the host Penmen directly after. On Sunday, the Dolphins will make the trek across Manchester to face Saint Anselm in a non-conference match-up. The 'Phins close out the weekend back at Southern New Hampshire against Felician University.
The Dolphins then head to Wilmington University's Wildcat Regional Invitational the following weekend. On Friday the 10th, the Dolphins will face Jefferson. On Saturday, the Dolphins will meet the host Wildcats and Chestnut Hill College.
Following 13 days off, the Dolphins will open Northeast-10 Conference action and their home schedule against Adelphi University on the 25th during John 'Doc' Joiner Homecoming Weekend.
The Dolphins close out September at Assumption University on the 28th.
October starts with the Dolphins traveling to New Haven, Connecticut to face Southern Connecticut State University on the 2nd.
The following Saturday, the Dolphins host the University of Haven and will remain home on the 16th to take on Pace University.
The Dolphins travel to Eastern Massachusetts the following weekend to take on Stonehill College on Friday the 22nd and Bentley University on Saturday the 23rd.
The 'Phins close out October with a trio of home matches. They host American International College on the 26th, Southern New Hampshire on the 29th and Franklin Pierce on the 30th.
November features the final three conference matches on the road and a home non-conference contest. The Dolphins visit Saint Michael's on Friday the 5th and Saint Anselm on the 6th. The Dolphins conclude their home and non-conference schedule on Thursday the 11th against Daemen College. The 'Phins close out the regular season at The College of Saint Rose on November 13.
The Northeast-10 Conference Championship will once again feature an eight-team field. The quarterfinals are scheduled for November 16 at the higher seed. The semifinals will take place on November 19 at the highest of the four remaining seed and the championship match is slated for November 20 at the same site.
The College looks forward to welcoming our supporters back in the stands this Fall. Consistent with New York State Department of Health and College requirements, unvaccinated individuals will be required to maintain six feet of physical distance and wear a face covering at all times while on College property. These guidelines reflect current federal and state requirements and may change at any point during the semester.
