FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY SWEEPS VOLLEYBALL, 3-0, IN SEASON FINALE

Rindge, N.H. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team was downed by Franklin Pierce University, 3-0, in their final match of the season at The Fieldhouse.

The Ravens took home the first set, 25-21, the second set, 25-17, and finished their Senior Day winning the third set, 25-20.

For the Dolphins, senior outside hitter Madeleine Kennedy (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) and redshirt sophomore outside hitter Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y./Wallkill) tied for the team lead with seven kills. Dembroski also registered nine digs and Kennedy had two blocks in the final match of her career. Sophomore outside hitter Rose Talty (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and redshirt sophomore middle blocker Marie Rhodes (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary's) tied with five kills and one block each. Senior outside hitter Megan Fay (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall) had three kills and two digs and freshman middle blocker Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton) recorded one kill and two blocks.
 
Freshman setter Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y./Frontier) recorded 13 assists and three digs, while senior setter Margaret King (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) closed out her career with 10 assists and two digs. Redshirt sophomore defensive specialist Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) had a team-high 12 digs to go with three assists. Sophomore defensive specialist Ella Katz (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) recorded four digs.

For the Ravens, who clinched the final berth in next week's NE10 Championships with the victory, Mariah Robles had a double-double of 13 kills and 10 digs. Ingrid Lindstrom had 13 kills and two blocks. Tessa Brandt had seven kills, 10 digs and a pair of assists. Britney Loyd and Martina Spackova each had six kills, while Loyd added five digs. Annaka Lindstrom directed the offense with 42 assists and added three digs and a pair of kills. Morgan Schmutzler led the defense with 16 digs and recorded four service aces.

The Dolphins finished the season 7-16 overall and 3-9 in conference action.
