MEET THE 'PHINS: MEN'S TRACK SOPHOMORE JORDAN JOHNSON

Hometown: Plainfield, N.J.

What is your major? Cybersecurity

What do you want to do after graduation and why? I would like to travel because of my interests in different cultures and foods.

Why did you choose Le Moyne? I chose Le Moyne because of the academics and other opportunities the school had to offer.

What would you tell somebody that is considering coming to Le Moyne? I would tell them to always try new things and meet new people.

If you could play another position, what position would you play and why? If I could play another position, I would be a long jumper because of the hype that comes from running down the runway and to test my athletic capability in another way.

If you could choose any opponent for Le Moyne to play that is currently not on the schedule, who would you choose and why? I would choose Rutgers because I grew up around that area and would use their tracks for practices.

Favorite class at Le Moyne and why? My favorite class so far would be major authors with Professor Mullally because of the intriguing books we read and the writings we had for them.

Hardest class at Le Moyne and why? My hardest class so far would have been general biology because I have a terrible memory and their were a vast amount of terms to remember on exams.

Favorite professor at Le Moyne and why? My favorite Professor is Professor Enwright because he makes class very enjoyable and it feels more like a discussion most classes.

Favorite form of social media and why? I would say instagram because I feel like it is a way to present yourself and your experiences to new people.

Favorite person to follow on social media and why? My favorite person I follow on social media would probably be Trayvon Bromell because he is a sprinter like myself and inspires me in my sport and in the faith.

If you could have dinner with any 4 people at Le Moyne who would you choose and why? I don't think I could choose 4 specific people, but they would probably be my teammates on the track team.

Favorite sport to follow at Le Moyne outside of yours and why? I would say basketball because it was the second sport I played and I love the atmosphere that the game brings.

If you didn't play your sport at Le Moyne, what sport would you play and why? If I didn't play my sport, I would definitely play basketball because it was my second sport and I will always have love for the game.

What song is playing on your headphones in the locker room right before taking the track? The song that I would play would either be the Rocky theme song or Let's Pray by Travis Scott.

What is your dream vacation? My dream vacation is to go to Jamaica or the Salt Flats of Bolivia.

What is the best thing about being in the Northeast Conference? The best thing about being in the NEC is that I have the opportunity to run against some people I used to compete with in high school.

One word to describe a Le Moyne track athlete: Competitive.

Who will be the surprise player on your team in 2023-24 and why? I would have to say that the team as a whole is. Last season we had many people produce great performances and break records. I hope that we continue doing that with our underdog mentality.

What player epitomizes Le Moyne track and why? I believe that Liv Snell and Nick Hafner epitomize Le Moyne Track and Field. I felt like last season they truly expressed unconditional support to everyone on the team and made sure that everyone was involved on and off the track.

Who will be the Most Valuable Player on your team in 2023-24? Stay Tuned...

What are you most looking forward to in 2023-24? This season, I will be looking forward to competing against Merrimack College as well as bonding with this year's team.
