Syracuse, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University Pioneers avenged a January 15 loss against the Le Moyne College women's basketball team with a 73-55 win over the Dolphins on Saturday at Ted Grant Court.

Sacred Heart improved to 8-1 in conference play with the win and grabbed sole possession of first place in the NEC Standings, while the Dolphins dropped to 7-2 against Northeast Conference competition.

Three Pioneer players scored in double figures during the win, led by graduate guard Sajada Bonner who shot 6-10 from three-point range to finish the game with a team-high 18 points.

Sophomore guard Ny'Ceara Pryor tallied 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Pios, while graduate guard Olivia Tucker scored 15 points on 6-8 shooting from the field and 3-5 from three-point land. Sophomore guard Amelia Wood added eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Le Moyne fifth-year guard Lytoya Baker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) registered her NEC-leading eighth double-double of the season during the setback with a game-high 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with a team-high four assists and two blocks.

Junior forward Brianna Williams (Brampton, Ontario/Southwest Academy/Hartford) added nine points to the Le Moyne cause, while freshman forward Sydney Postell (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) registered a season-high seven points, a season-high six rebounds, one block and one assist in a season-high 14 minutes played.

Graduate Sydney Lusher (Oneida, N.Y./Oneida) provided six points, five rebounds, a team-high three blocks and a team-high three steals.

Le Moyne shot 1-12 from three-point range on Saturday, while the Pioneers made 10 threes on 25 attempts.

Sacred Heart shot 17-34 from the field during the first 20 minutes to take a 41-14 lead at halftime.

Bonner knocked down three three-point field goals during Sacred Heart's 24-point second quarter.

Sacred Heart continued its hot shooting in the third period, going to 8-15 from the field and 4-7 from three during the frame.

Le Moyne outscored the Pioneers by a tally of 24-11 during the fourth quarter with the help of 12 points from Baker.

The Le Moyne College women's basketball team will conclude its three-game home stand on Friday with a 7:00 p.m. game against Stonehill.
