COLGATE TAKES DOUBLEHEADER OVER SOFTBALL ON TUESDAY

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College softball team (10-26, 3-9 NEC) competed against Colgate (17-24, 5-7 NEC) for a home non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. Colgate took both games over the Dolphins, 11-0 and 13-5.

"I'm proud of the way our team continues to compete despite whatever the circumstances might be" said head coach Tracey Roman. "There is a difference between losing and quitting and we refuse to quit.  You have to have tremendous fire in your belly to continue to fight when you're flat out getting beat and we do not stop fighting…no matter how much the deck is stacked against us. That takes courage and speaks to the character of our team.  Grit is a choice. Doesn't always get you the result you want in the win column but what we're working on is bigger than wins and losses. Learning to fight for yourself is a lesson for life, and I believe we are succeeding in that part of our journey together."
