Syracuse. N.Y. – The Le Moyne women's lacrosse team tries to get back in the win column when it hosts Delaware State on Saturday.

Delaware State has struggled in 2024. The Hornets have just two wins, with both coming in the NEC. Delaware State's first win was against Central Connecticut State on March 2. The Hornets also downed Howard on March 27. Delaware State has allowed more than 12 goals in every loss this season.

In the non-conference schedule, the Hornets fell to UMBC, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, and Radford. Delaware State's three conference losses came against FDU, Long Island and Sacred Heart. The Hornets are also winless in their four road contests this campaign.

Graduate Student Ebony Reddick leads Delaware State in multiple offensive categories. The attacker has 20 goals and 22 points in 2024. Reddick has scored in eight of her ten appearances. She notched a season-high five goals on nine attempts on February 28 against Eastern Michigan. Reddick also has the third-most caused turnovers on the Hornets with six.

Senior Attacker Rossella Nardi tops Delaware State with six assists. Nardi had a season-best three assists in a win over Central Connecticut State. She also ranks second on the Hornets with 13 goals. Four of her scores came in the victory over CCSU as well. Nardi missed Delaware State's most recent matchup against Sacred Heart on March 30.

Sophomore Zahra Gotz rounds out the Hornet players with over ten goals. The attacker has scored 12 times in 2024. Gotz is on fire as of late, especially in front of the net. She's scored three goals in each of her last two contests.

Delaware State has scored just 80 goals in its 10 matchups. The Hornets also struggle defensively, giving up the third-most goals per game in the NEC.

Le Moyne dropped its second consecutive contest in its last game against Saint Francis on Wednesday. The matchup marked back-to-back games where the Dolphins scored six or less goals. Despite the loss, Le Moyne outshot Saint Francis 31-22.

Senior
Rhonee Shea Pal carried the load on offense. The midfielder scored three of the Dolphins' six total goals. She hit at a strong rate, missing just once. Pal also won three draws against Saint Francis. She already has a career-high 16 goals and 19 points in 2024.

Senior attacker
Sarah Hutchings showed up in the defeat as well. Hutchings scored a goal and recorded one of Le Moyne's two total assists on Wednesday. She went one-for-two on free-position shots. Hutchings has 18 goals and 14 assists this season.

The Dolphins were on a four-game winning streak before their last two losses. Le Moyne has just one more home game against Wagner on April 13. The Dolphins' next contest is against Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, April 10.
At halftime of Saturday's matchup, Brittany Brigandi '12 will be recognized for her election to the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame.
