Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team will begin its second season at the Division I level on Saturday, February 15, as the team's full schedule was announced on Thursday.

The team's 17-game schedule will feature nine Northeast Conference matchups and eight non-conference affairs and will include nine games at Ted Grant Field.

The Dolphins will open the season at home on February 15 for the second straight year by taking on the University of Vermont. The Catamounts have won the last four meetings with the Dolphins after Le Moyne won the first five.

The team will head on the road for its next two contests. They visit Rutgers University of the Big Ten Conference on Saturday, February 22. The Scarlet Knights are coming off an 8-10 campaign, including 1-5 in B10 play to earn the sixth seed in the conference tournament, where they upset third-seeded Maryland in the first round. Four days later, the Dolphins head east on to face Colgate University, which is coming off a 3-14 season, including 3-6 in the Patriot League.

The 'Phins begin March with a pair of home games. La Salle University comes to The Heights on the opening day of the month. The Explorers, who the Dolphins are 2-0 against all-time, went 3-11 last year, including 1-8 in the Atlantic 10. Canisius University comes to Ted Grant Field for the first time on Wednesday the 5th. The Golden Griffins, who Le Moyne is 12-2 all-time against, went 11-7 last season, including 4-5 in the MAAC to earn the sixth seed.

The Dolphins visit the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Saturday the 8th for their final non-conference road matchup. The River Hawks went a program-best 12-6 last year, including 3-3 in America East play to earn their first AE Tournament berth.

The team finishes its season-opening stretch of non-conference games on Wednesday the 12th by hosting Siena College. The Dolphins are 10-3 all-time against the Saints following Siena's victory last year.

The 'Phins alternate road and home NEC games to close out March. They open NEC play on Saturday the 15th at Delaware State University before hosting Central Connecticut State University the following Saturday. The Hornets and Blue Devils tied for eighth place in the NEC last year with 2-8 conference records. After visiting FDU, which was also in the eighth-place tie last year, on Wednesday the 26th, the Dolphins close out March by welcoming LIU to Ted Grant Field on Saturday the 29th. The Sharks are the defending NEC champions and went 11-8 overall last season, including their first victory over the Dolphins in three all-time matchups.

The Dolphins are on the road for the first two games of April. They head to Wagner College on Saturday the 5th and NEC newcomer Mercyhurst University on Wednesday the 9th. The Dolphins are visiting Wagner, which went 6-11 last year, including a win over the Dolphins in the NEC tournament, for the first time since the 2002 season and are 0-2 on the road against the Seahawks. Mercyhurst is coming off a 4-12 campaign in its final season at the Division II level. The Dolphins are 9-2 all-time against the Lakers and have won four straight meetings in Erie.

The team is home for its next two games. Howard University comes to Ted Grant Field for the first time on Saturday the 12th. Four days later, the Dolphins play their final non-conference game of the campaign against UAlbany, which went 8-10 last season, including 5-1 in America East play to win the regular season championship.

The 'Phins complete their NEC road slate on Saturday the 19th at Stonehill College. The Skyhawks, who went 9-9 last season, including 7-3 in NEC action, hold a 4-3 advantage over the Dolphins in games at home (Le Moyne is 8-0 at home).

The Dolphins conclude the regular season on Saturday the 26th by hosting Saint Francis University at Ted Grant Field for the first time. The teams have split the two all-time meetings.

The four-team NEC Championship is slated for May 1 and 3 and all three games will be hosted by the top seed. Should Le Moyne win the championship, the runner-up would earn the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Championship.

The Dolphins return 19 letterwinners from last year's 9-9 squad, which went 8-2 in NEC play to earn the third seed in the conference tournament, while adding nine freshmen.
