Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman guard Kayden Clark (Oakhurst, N.J. / Manasquan) has been named the NEC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the opening week of the season.

Clark was named the NEC Rookie of the Week and a Prime Performer for the first time in her collegiate career after averaging 15.5 points on 12-of-18 (.667) shooting from the field, 7-of-10 (.700) shooting from three-point range, and 5.0 rebounds through Le Moyne's games against St. John's on Monday, Nov. 3 and Lafayette on Sunday, Nov. 9.

During the Dolphins' setback against the Red Storm, Clark had 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting (4-of-4 from three-point range) and grabbed three rebounds in her collegiate debut before tallying 17 points and seven rebounds in an 82-79 overtime victory at Lafayette on Sunday.

Along with Clark, junior forward Ashley Buragas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y. / John Jay / Mineral Area College) was named an NEC Prime Performer, as well, after averaging 14.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in Le Moyne's 1-1 week.

After opening the season with eight points and three rebounds during her debut for Le Moyne at St. John's on Monday, she registered 20 points, 22 rebounds and six assists in an 82-79 overtime win over Lafayette on Sunday. Her 22 rebounds are the second-most in the program's history and are the most by a Dolphin since January 1988. The game also marked the first 20-20 double-double since 2020 and the most rebounds in nearly four seasons for an NEC player.

The Dolphins will travel to Waco, T.X. for a meeting with the Baylor University Bears next Sunday, Nov. 16 with tip set for 3:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. CT.
