Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College's Department of Athletics experienced another highly successful Giving Day last week.
The Dolphin Athletic Association (DAA) exceeded its donor goal of 1,200 with 1,651 and raised nearly $410,000 in support of Le Moyne student-athletes.
"Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Le Moyne College Dolphins community, this Giving Day was a huge success!" said Assistant Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation
Phil Brown. "Your support directly impacts our student-athletes, providing the resources they need to excel in D1 competition, in the classroom and beyond. Every gift strengthens our teams and fuels our transition to Division I, helping us rise to new levels of excellence. We are deeply grateful."
With 2,685 donors, the College raised more than $2 million overall for the first time, exceeding last year's amount by 54 percent on Giving Day.
The Athletics figures eclipse the previous records of 1332 donors from 2023 and $210,218 raised in 2023.
Money donated to specific athletic programs or the Athletic Department's General Fund will directly impact Le Moyne's 375 scholar-athletes and help fund "margin of excellence" initiatives to enhance the overall experience on "the Heights."
