Syracuse, N.Y. – Ninety-three Le Moyne College student-athletes were honored on Tuesday, March 25th for their academic achievement at the 18th annual Scholar-Athlete Breakfast. Each student-athlete invited a faculty member who has played a significant role in their academic success to join them for the morning's proceedings.

Maggie Monnat Gariglio '16, a four-year member of the women's lacrosse program and two-year member of the women's soccer program during her days on the Heights, was the keynote speaker. A native of Baldwinsville, Gariglio is currently a Certified Physician Assistant at Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY.

The 18th annual Scholar-Athlete Recognition Breakfast event recognized the academic achievements of sophomore, junior, senior and graduate-level student-athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater. The Scholar-Athlete Recognition Breakfast is supported by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

During the 2024 fall semester, Dolphin student-athletes combined for a 3.341 GPA, which ranks as the fourth-best Fall academic showing by Le Moyne student-athletes in the last seven years and the sixth-best showing in the last 14 semesters overall. Since the 2003-04 academic year, Le Moyne student-athletes have maintained an average cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for a record-setting 43 consecutive semesters.
