Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College baseball team registered an 11-1 victory in eight innings over the Delaware State University Hornets in game one of a Northeast Conference series on Friday at the Onondaga Community College Baseball Complex.
In his first relief outing since the 2022 season, graduate left-handed pitcher
Max Parker (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) earned the win on the mound after tossing six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and just three hits and one walk allowed. Le Moyne held a 6-1 lead after seven innings, then scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth to end the contest via run rule.

Bobby McBride (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster/UConn/Coastal Carolina) recorded two strikeouts during a scoreless top of the first, then Le Moyne scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first following a bases-loaded walk from senior catcher
Benji Ries (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson).
Delaware State tied the contest at 1-1 in the top of the second via an RBI double down left field line from freshman catcher Caleb King.
Le Moyne added two runs in the bottom of the third with the help of an infield single from junior infielder

Jack Cannon (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) lifted a sacrifice fly to deep right field in the bottom of the sixth to drive in junior outfielder
Paulie Goodness (Palmyra-Macedon/Finger Lakes Community College) and make it 4-1 in favor of the Dolphins.
Parker delivered a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts in the top of the seventh, then Le Moyne added two more runs in the bottom of the frame after freshman infielder Dominick
Russ (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) smashed an RBI double into the left-center field gap to drive in Sullivan, then scored on a wild pitch later in the inning.
Parker recorded another 1-2-3 inning in the top of the eighth, then Goodness, Cannon and junior outfielder
Tyler Campbell (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) each contributed an RBI during Le Moyne's five-run frame in the bottom of the eighth that ended the contest and improved Le Moyne's NEC record to 9-4.
Cannon recorded a team-high two RBIs for Le Moyne during the win, while Campbell and Goodness tallied three hits, two runs and one RBI each.
Parker, who ranks second all-time in program history in career starts with 50, made his fourth career relief appearance during Friday's contest, and picked up his 19
th career win.
Le Moyne and Delaware State will play game two of the conference series on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Dick Rockwell Field.
