Staten Island, N.Y. – Ella Marino recorded five points to lead Wagner College to an 11-7 victory over the Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team in Northeast Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Hameline Field.
Marino got the game's scoring started just 34 seconds into the contest with her seventh goal of the year.

Wagner, which defeated the Dolphins in the first round of the NEC Championship last year, scored all three of the second quarter's goals to take control of the game. Sophia Colver put the Seahawks up for good with 12:51 left on a free-position shot in an extra-player situation. Following five minutes of scoreless play, Marino netted her second goal of the day with 7:32 remaining. She scored again three and one-half minutes later for a 4-1 lead.
The Seahawks pushed their lead to four with the first goal of the third quarter as Kendra Hall registered her 14th goal of the season with 10:25 to go.
Le Moyne snapped its scoring drought of 27:10 at the 8:59 mark as freshman attacker
Mackenzie Prentice (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) scored her seventh goal of the season. Just 34 seconds later, sophomore midfielder
Maddi Barney (Lorraine, N.Y./South Jefferson) registered her 10th goal of the campaign.
The teams split the final two goals of the quarter. Marino extended Wagner's lead back to three by converting a free-position shot for her 10th goal of the year with 7:12 left. Blakeslee answered back 62 seconds later with a free-position goal of her own for her team-best 13th marker of the season.
Wagner put the game out of reach with the first three goals of the fourth quarter. Lea Cini made it 7-4 at the 13:03 mark off a feed from Amelia Logan. Just 52 seconds later, Hall found the back of the net off a dish from Nia Scott. Katie Siverson capped the spurt 1:22 left with an extra-player tally after taking a pass from Marino.
The Dolphins followed with a pair of goals in less than two minutes. Junior attacker
Alexa Strelick (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) scored her ninth goal of the season at the 7:48 mark, while senior attacker
Grace Detor (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) followed with her sixth tally of the year with 6:02 to play.
The Seahawks got the two goals back in a span of 95 seconds. Kristina Pisano got Wagner into double digits with 3:50 remaining off a feed from Colver, who followed with her second goal of the day with 2:15 left.
Junior midfielder
Sara Hunter (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) capped the game's scoring with 35 seconds left with a free-position shot for her 11th goal of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Amanda Manfredi (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) registered 10 saves in the setback, including four in the fourth quarter. Grace DeCarolis turned away eight shots, including four in the third quarter, to earn the victory between the pipes.
Le Moyne (3-9, 2-3 NEC), which is in a four-way tie for fifth place (fourth seed with Mercyhurst ineligible), is back on the road Wednesday at Mercyhurst at 1:00 p.m.
