Syracuse, N.Y. – Six student-athletes from the Le Moyne College women's lacrosse and women's golf teams were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team, as recently announced by the organization.
Senior defenders
Katherine Amico (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius),
Grace Brinza (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) and
Anna Montgomery (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) and junior attackers
Bella Sampo (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and
Alexa Strelick (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) earned the distinction from the women's lacrosse team, while junior
Riley Stuver (Webster, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) of the women's golf team was honored.
The 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The at-large program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo for both men and women; beach volleyball, bowling, crew and field hockey for women; and volleyball and wrestling for men.
To earn CSC Academic All-District® honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and play in 90% of her team's games or start in 66% of the games for women's lacrosse and be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament for women's golf.
Thirty-four Northeast Conference student-athletes were named to the CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team in total, with Le Moyne's six representing the highest amount from a single institution. Stonehill College and Howard University each had five honorees.
Amico, Brinza, Montgomery and Stuver also claimed CSC Academic All-District honors in 2023-24.
