LOCCI AND WALKER EARN 1ST PLACE AS MEN'S AND WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETE AT THE RIT FRIDAY MEET

Rochester, N.Y. – Sophomore Jacey Locci (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) and junior Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) both earned a 1st place finish as the Le Moyne College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the RIT Friday Meet.
 
Locci, a week after setting the program record in the high jump event, continued her success after placing 1st overall, earning a height of 1.63m/5' 4.25". Walker earned his second consecutive 1st place finish in the long jump event, finishing with a distance of 6.91m/22' 8".
 
Men's Recap:
 
Junior Christopher Moser (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) placed 7th overall in the men's 200m after running a time of 23.24. Freshman Owen Mulholland (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) placed 9th overall, finishing 0.02 seconds behind Moser with a time of 23.26.
 
 In the men's 400m, junior Skylar Gravell (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) placed 5th overall after earning a time of 51.54. Freshman Andrew Gulde (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) placed 6th overall after running a time of 51.77. Mulholland also competed in the 400m event, placing 7th overall and running a time of 51.80.
 
Sophomore Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 4th overall in the 3000m after clocking in with a time of 9:14.51. The quartet of sophomore Robbert Taddeo (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton), Moser, Gravell and Gulde placed 4th overall in the 4x200m relay, finishing with a time of 1:34.41.
 
Sophomore Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) placed 7th overall in the triple jump event, earning a distance of 12.71m/41' 8.5" to round out the top-10 finishers on the day for the men's program.
 
Women's Recap:
 
Freshman Alexis Vincent (Wynantskill, N.Y./Averill Park) placed 3rd overall in the 60m event after running a time of 8.00. Junior Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) placed 2nd overall in the 200m event, clocking in with a time of 26.29. Sophomore Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor/Monmouth) placed 3rd overall in the 300m event, earning a time of 44.84.
 
In the 3000m event, junior Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) placed 4th overall, running a time of 10:41.97. Freshman Lyla Dufek (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos) placed 8th overall in the 60m hurdles, earning a time of 10.09.
 
The quartet of Locci, junior Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), Dufek and Alexis Vincent placed 3rd overall in the 4x200m relay, clocking in with a time of 1:53.68. Senior Lilly Capria (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) earned a 2nd place finish in the high jump event, earning a height of 1.58m/5' 2.25". She also placed 5th overall in the triple jump event, earning a mark of 10.44m/34' 3" to round out the top-10 finishers on the day for the women's program.
 
What's Next:
 
Both the men's and women's programs will compete next Friday, January 30th. The men's program will compete at the Harvard University Invitational, as the women will compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.
 
The following day, the men's program will compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, and the women will compete at the Harvard University Invitational.
