Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's basketball team had its NEC schedule released by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
 
The 16-game schedule will feature home and away matchups against each league foe.

The Dolphins will open conference play home for the third time in four years in the league on Saturday, January 2 against Mercyhurst. The teams have split the two games in Syracuse since the Lakers joined the NEC.

The 'Phins are on the road for their next two games. They visit Central Connecticut State University, whom the Dolphins swept last year and have defeated five of six times since joining the NEC, on Thursday the 7th and Stonehill College, whom the Dolphins have split the last four regular season contests against, on Saturday the 9th.

The Dolphins are back at home for their next three games. They open the stretch on Thursday the 14th against two-time defending NEC tournament champion FDU and then host Wagner College, whom they have defeated at home in each of the last three years, two days later. Following a bye on Thursday the 21st, they host LIU on Saturday the 23rd. The Dolphins have won two of three games at Ted Grant Court against the Sharks.

The 'Phins play their final January game on the 28th at Chicago State University, whom they have split with each of the last two years.

The team opens February by hosting the University of New Haven on Thursday the 4th. The Dolphins have won seven straight matchups in the series dating back to the teams' NE10 years. The Dolphins then head to Brooklyn on Saturday the 6th to face LIU.

The Dolphins are at home for both games in week seven of the slate. Central Connecticut State comes to Ted Grant Court on Thursday the 11th and Stonehill follows on Saturday the 13th.
 
The 'Phins head to New Haven Wednesday the 17th before hosting to Chicago State on Saturday the 20th for their final home game of the regular season.
 
They are on the road for their final three games of the regular season. The Dolphins start the stretch at Wagner on Thursday the 25th and then they visit FDU on Saturday the 27th. They close out the regular season at Mercyhurst for the second straight year on Thursday, March 4.

The NEC Championship will feature an eight-team field with the quarterfinals to be held on March 8, the semifinals on the 11th and the championship game on the 14th. All games will be played at the site of the higher seed. The top eight teams in the standings will qualify for this year's NEC Tournament.
 
Should Mercyhurst or New Haven win the NEC Tournament championship, the tournament runner-up will advance to the NCAA Tournament as the NEC's automatic qualifier as per current policy, while if Mercyhurst and New Haven both reach the championship game, the NEC will stage an "AQ Qualifier" game between the two non-advancing semifinal teams. This will serve as a decisive game to determine the team that will secure the NEC's spot in the NCAA Tournament.
