Box Score 2 Loudonville, N.Y. – Sidney Shaffer and Cameron Lloyd each recorded nine kills to lead Bucknell University to a 3-0 win over the Le Moyne College volleyball team on the first day of the Siena Invitational on Friday afternoon at the UHY Center. The Dolphins fell to the host Saints, 3-0, on Friday evening.
After the teams split the first 14 points of the first set, Bucknell ran off five straight points to take control of the action. The Dolphins closed within two at 16-14, but the Bison countered with three in a row before the teams traded points the remainder of the way for a 25-20 Bucknell win. The Bison scored the first six points of the second set and 11 of the first 14. Le Moyne responded with seven of the next nine points to cut its deficit to 13-10. Following back-and-forth action over the next 15 points, Bucknell tallied four of the last five points for a 25-18 victory. Bucknell jumped out to a 10-0 lead to open the third set. After the teams split the next 20 points, the Bison scored five of the last six for a 25-11 win to close out the match.

Alise Evans (Tampa, Florida/Oak Park/UNC Asheville) led the Dolphins in the setback with six kills on a .500 hitting percentage to go with two blocks. Third year outside hitter
Jazmin Rodriguez (Madera, Calif./Madera) also had six kills. First year setter
Katie Barbour (Durham, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) directed the offense with a season-high 24 assists and also had a season-best five digs. Fourth year libero
Haley Buescher (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) led the defense with a season-high 13 digs.
Shaffer and Lloyd each hit .444 en route to their nine kills, while Shaffer added three blocks. Peyton McGee registered 20 assists, six digs and four kills. Katie O'Sullivan recorded 18 digs, five assists and five service aces.
