LE MOYNE VOLLEYBALL DROP FINAL GAME OF WNY INVITATIONAL

Buffalo, NY. - The Le Moyne volleyball team were defeated in three-sets by Niagara University on Saturday afternoon at the WNY Invitational. The Purple Eagles took the match by set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-16. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The first set saw the two sides swap points until Niagara pulled away at the 20 point mark, going on a 5-1 run to close out the set in a victory, 25-19. The second set saw the Dolphins and Purple Eagles trade the lead for the first ten points before Niagara went on a six point run. Le Moyne attempted the comeback, but was unable to rally as the Purple Eagles took the second set, 25-15. The thyroid set got out of hand quickly for the Dolphins as an early six point run from Niagara put the game out of reach for Le Moyne. The Purple Eagles took the set, and the match 25-16. 


Le Moyne is back on the road as the Dolphins visit Brooklyn, N.Y. to play LIU in a two-game series. The first match is Friday, October 2 at 6 p.m.
