2023-24 Outdoor: Senior - Alex would compete in six different invitationals during his final season with the Dolphins, which including him setting three personal records. At the West Point Army Open (Mar. 15) he would run the 5000m in a time of 17:10.35 and finishing 11th overall, while also running the 4x400 in a time of 3:44.99 and finishing 6th overall. At the Geneseo Early Season Invitational (Mar. 29) he ran the 800m in a time of 2:14.40, the 1500m in a time of 4:31.09, and the 4x400 in a time of 3:43.43. Alex would set a personal record at the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite (Apr. 6) in the 5000m, where he ran a time of 16:55.93 and finished 18th overall. At the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14), he set another personal record running the 10,000m in a time of 35:41.09 and finished 11th overall. Alex would run in the 1500m at the UB Alumni Invitational (Apr. 20) in a time of 4:40.24 and 42nd overall, while also running the 4x400 in a time of 3:44.48. Closing out his season at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 27), Alex set another personal record in the 1500m running a time of 4:29.96 finishing 20th overall, while also finishing in 3rd at the 4x800 in a time of 8:59.94
2023-24 Indoor: Senior - In his fourth and final season with the Dolphins, and first at the Division I level, Colonno competed in seven different invitationals during the 2023-24 indoor track & field season, including setting two personal records. Opening the year at the Greg Pages Relays & Multi (Dec. 1), Alex ran the 3000m in a time of 10:02.38 and finishing 22nd overall. At the West Point Open (Jan. 6) he ran the mile in a time of 5:08.88 and finished 19th overall. A week later the 'Phins traveled to the Southern Tier Invite (Jan. 13) where he would run the 3000m in a time of 9:59.77 and finishing 16th overall. He would run the mile at the Hamilton Continental Invitational (Jan. 19) in a time of 4:55.21 and finished 14th overall. Alex set a personal record at the Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi (Jan. 26) in the 3000m, where he ran a time of 9:48.54 and finished 14th overall. At the Brockport Invitational & Multi (Feb. 2), he ran the mile in a time of 4:48.66 finishing 26th overall, while also running the 4x400 in a time of 3:49.51 and 9th overall. He would close out his season setting another personal record at the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 9) in the mile where he finished in a time of 4:46.44 and 15th overall. He would also run the 4x400 in a time of 3:46.79 and 5th overall.
2022-23 Outdoor: Junior - Alex competed in four different invitationals during the 2022-23 outdoor track & field season. The Dolphins opened their season at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational (Apr. 2) where he would run the 1500m in a time of 4:35.01 and finishing 74th overall. Two weeks later, he traveled to compete in the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14) in the 4x400, running a time of 4:04.15 and finishing 12th overall, as well as running the 1500m in a time of 4:34.60 and finishing 36th overall. At the Cortland Classic (Apr. 21), Alex ran the 4x800 in a time of 8:51.16 finishing 2nd overall as well as running the 800m in a time of 2:16.51 and finishing 34th overall. Colonno closed out his season at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 29) where he ran in the 5000m in a time of 17:12.39 and finished 23rd overall.
2022-23 Indoor: Junior - Colonno competed in six different invitationals during the 2022-23 indoor track & field season. Starting the season at the Greg Page 2022 (Dec. 3), Alex ran the mile in a time of 5:03.58 and finished 13th overall, while also running 4x400 in a time of 3:54.03 and 16th overall. At the Spartan Invitational (Jan. 13), he ran the 4x400 in a time of 3:46.52 finishing 13th overall, and ran the mile in a time of 5:08.30 and 38th overall. A week later the Dolphins competed in the Winter Welcome Back (Jan. 21) where Alex ran the 800m in a time of 2:14.38 and the 4x400 in a time of 3:49.76. The Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi (Jan. 27) saw Colonno run the 800m in a time of 2:12.21 and the 4x400 in a time of 3:51.48. He would run the DMR at the Brockport Multi (Feb. 3) in a time of 11:42.41 and the mile in a time of 4:57.24. Alex would close out his season at the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 10) where he ran the 800m in a time of 2:12.18 and finishing 30th overall.
2021-22 Outdoor: Sophomore - Alex competed in four different meets during the 2021-22 outdoor track & field season which included a 1st place finish in the 4x800. Beginning the season at the Jim Taylor Invitational (Mar. 25), he would compete in the 4x400 running a time of 3:56.03 and finishing 16th overall, while also running the 1500m in a time of 4:44.97 and 74th overall. The following meet at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational (Apr. 2), he would run the 4x800 in a time of 8:38.36 and finished 1st overall and ran the 800m in a time of 2:15.97 and 20th overall. At the Cortland Classic (Apr. 22), Alex ran the 4x800 in a time of 8:55.22 finishing 7th overall, and ran the 1500m in a time of 4:41.23 and 26th overall. To close out his season, Colonno and the Dolphins traveled to the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational (Apr. 30), where he would run the 800m in a time of 2:20.38 and finished 47th overall.
2021-22 Indoor: Sophomore - During his second season as a Dolphin, Alex competed in nine different meets and set a personal record in the 800m. At the Saints Holiday Relays (Dec. 4), he ran the mile in a time of 5:06.84 and finishing 9th overall, while also running the 4x400 in a time of 3:44.28 finishing 3rd overall. He would run the mile at the Southern Tier Invite 2022 (Jan. 8) in a time of 5:14.31 and finished 13th overall. Colonno would run the 3000m at the Utica Winter Opener (Jan. 15) in a time of 10:17.77 and finishing 22nd overall. Alex ran the 4x800 in a time of 9:07.88 and finished 6th overall at the Highlander Invitational (Jan. 22), while also running the mile in a time of 5:07.06 and 50th overall. At the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational (Jan. 29), Alex ran the 4x400 in a time of 4:00.35 and finished 12th overall while also running the 800m in a time of 2:11.61 finishing 17th overall. He would set a personal record in the 800m at the Brockport Multi (Feb. 4), running a time of 2:08.44 and finishing 19th overall. At the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 11), he ran the 4x400 in a time of 3:45.40 while also running the mile in a time of 4:53.20. At the final meet before NE10 Championships, Alex and the 'Phins traveled to the Deneault Invitational 2022 (Feb. 19) where he ran the 800m in a time of 2:09.75. At the Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 24), Alex would close out his season running the 4x800, finishing with a time of 8:31.28 and 9th overall.
2020-21 Outdoor: Freshman - In his first season competing as a Dolphin, Colonno competed in four different meets. Opening his career at The Cortland Challenge (Apr. 11), Alex joined Matthew Bartolotta, Christian Carlin-Saracene and David Ware in the 4x400 where they finished 3rd overall with a time of 3:47.37, while also running the 1500m in a time of 4:49.78 and finishing 10th overall. The following meet at the Redhawk Invitational (Apr. 16), Alex would join Bartolotta, Kyle Vancoughnett and Jeremy Plumley in the 4x400 running a time of 3:56.87 and finishing 6th overall, while also running the 800m in a time of 2:16.68 and finishing 6th overall. Colonno would run the 1500m at The Cortland Classic (Apr. 25) in a time of 4:32.92 and finished 8th overall. He would run in the 1500m again at The Cortland Conference Qualifier (May 2) with a time of 4:32.81 and finishing 14th overall.
2020-21 Indoor: Freshman - Season Canceled (Covid-19)
Personal - Alexander V. Colonno was born to Adriana and Dan Colonno, graduated from Bethlehem High School in 2020 and will be entering his sophomore year as a Dolphin.
Colonno is pursuing a major in Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Alex runs distance for Track and Field as well as running Cross Country. Alex has earned PRs of 15:48 in the 5000m, 10:38 in the 3200m and 4:46 in the 1600m.
