Biography
Shaina L. Smith, daughter of Denise and Michael Smith, is a 2019 graduate of Shenendehowa High School. Smith is an accounting major who specializes in short sprints and hurdles. Prior to her time at Le Moyne, Smith was a four-time team indoor and outdoor sectional champion, as well as a four-time scholar-athlete, three-time Suburban Council All-Star, and team captain. As a phin, Smith broke the 60-meter hurdle record in her freshman year, running 10.01 seconds. She also holds the 100-meter hurdle record of 16.91 seconds.
Smith has one sibling, Aleah Smith, of SUNY Binghamton.
