2024 – Senior: Appeared in 40 games with 37 starts at catcher, DH and first base during the baseball team’s return to Division I, and its first season as a member of the Northeast Conference… tallied career-best numbers in runs (27), hits (35), doubles (4), home runs (5), walks (17), RBIs (21), batting average (.269), on base-percentage (.409) and slugging percentage (.415) … recorded an RBI during an 11- 4 win at Houston Christian (Feb 17), which was the Dolphins’ first Division I win since the 2011 season… provided a base hit during an 8-6 win at Radford (Feb 23) … went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs during a 2-1 loss at LIU (Mar 8) … during an 8-6 win at LIU (Mar 9), Le Moyne’s first-ever Northeast Conference victory, Fureno contributed two RBIs, two runs, and delivered a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of fifth to complete a six-run inning and give the Dolphins a 6-5 advantage… smashed a home run and finished with two RBIs during a 4-2 conference win at FDU (Mar 24) … during the finale of the Coppin State series (Mar 30), Fureno registered a double, a single, a walk, a run and three RBIs as the Dolphins completed a conference series sweep… went 3-for-4 with a double and a run during a 6-5 win over Stonehill (Apr 7) … contributed a hit and a run during a 4-3 extra-inning victory at Sacred Heart (Apr 13) … provided two hits, two runs, an RBI and two walks at Central Connecticut State (Apr 28) … recorded two runs and two hits, including a two-run home run during an 8-4 win over Maryland Eastern Shore (May 3) … drove in two runs with a base hit, a run scored and two walks during a 10-9 win over Maryland Eastern Shore (May 4) … drove in three runs with a hit, a walk and a run during a 17-10 win at Niagara (May 7) … ripped a two-run home run against Merrimack (May 10) … launched a solo home run during the series finale against Merrimack (May 12) … went 4-for-4 at the plate to record a career high in hits during a 10-4 win at Norfolk State (May 17)
2023 – Junior: Appeared in 25 games with 22 starts during his second full season on the Heights, tallying 12 runs, 19 hits and 15 RBIs… recorded two hits, a run and an RBI during a 10-6 win over Mercy (Feb 18) … went 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk and an RBI during a setback against Mercy (Feb 19) … went 2-for-3 during a 2-1 win against Saint Thomas Aquinas (Feb 24) … drove in two runs during a win against Mercy (Feb 26) … registered two hits at Shippensburg (Mar 4) … provided two hits, a run and an RBI during a 6-5 win at Felician (Mar 10) … drove in two runs during a 6-4 win at Felician (Mar 12) … contributed a hit, a walk, an RBI and a run against Franklin Pierce (Apr 2) … launched his first home run of the season, a three-run shot, during a 13-3 win over Franklin Pierce (Apr 3) … recorded a hit, a run and two RBIs during a 7-3 conference win against Saint Rose (Apr 16)
2022 – Sophomore: Appeared in 29 games with 26 during his first full season on the Heights, operating as a DH and catcher … recorded two hits and a run scored during a win at Shippensburg (March 5) … went 3-3 at the plate with a home run, four RBIs, a walk and a run scored during a win at Bloomsburg (March 15) … provided a two-RBI single and two runs scored during a 12-4 win at Southern Connecticut State (April 2) … recorded two hits, an RBI and a run scored during a win at Saint Rose (April 24)
2021 – Freshman: started two games as a designated hitter and made 13 plate appearances during his first season wearing the green and gold… recorded a hit, drew a walk and drove in a run during a win against Saint Rose (April 10) … recorded a hit and an RBI in his first career start during the second game of a doubleheader at Pace (April 24) which resulted in a Le Moyne victory
Personal: a 2020 graduate of Fort Plain High School where he was the Salutatorian of his graduating class, a member of the National Honor Society, served as Class President for five years, was named to the Principal’s List for 16 consecutive quarters, received the Male Leadership Award and served as the Student Council Vice President… on the diamond he put together a .402 career batting average, was a four time WAC Conference First Team All-Star, a two time First Team All-State catcher, the 2018-2019 Underclassman Athlete of the Year Award winner, the 2016-2017 Most Improved Athlete of the Year Award winner, and a two time All-Area First Team catcher… his high school team won the WAC League Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019, the 2016 and 2018 Class D Regional Championship, the 2016 Class D New York State Championship and the 2019 Section II Class C Championship… played his travel ball with the Capital Renegades… son of John and Kristina Fureno… majoring in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus
